Sen. Colbeck to Host Senior Safety Seminar in Northville

WHAT: Sen. Patrick Colbeck (R-Canton) will be hosting a senior safety seminar featuring a presentation from the Attorney General’s office entitled “Avoiding Phone and Mail Scams.” The event is free of charge and refreshments will be served.

WHEN:  Friday, September 30 from 10am – 11:30am

WHERE: Northville Community Senior Center, 303 West Main Street, Northville

WHO:  Senator Colbeck and a representative from the Attorney General’s Senior Brigade – a group of trained presenters that hold a variety of senior safety seminars statewide

“There are people out there perpetuating new scams every day,” Colbeck said. “Seniors are often targeted by scams and it is frustrating to hear about how they have been victimized after the fact. This seminar is designed to help seniors recognize these scams and prevent them from becoming victims.”
