Sen. Emmons Comments on Gov. Snyders State of State Address

LANSING – Sen. Judy K. Emmons released the following statement tonight following the first State of the State address by Gov. Rick Snyder:
“Restoring Michigan’s economy is the number one priority of not only leaders but every resident of the state. We heard the Governor clearly acknowledge that tonight. Michigan families, businesses and communities are looking for economic growth that lays a strong foundation for a prosperous future. As we move forward, it is crucial for the Legislature and the Governor to work together to achieve that prosperity.”

Sen. Emmons, of Sheridan, represents the 33rd Senate District which includes the counties of Clinton, Ionia, Isabella and Montcalm. She chairs the Senate Committee on Families, Seniors and Human Services; is vice chair of the Committee on Education; and serves on four other committees, including Agriculture, Health Policy, Economic Development, and Military Affairs, Veterans and Homeland Security.
