M-53 roadwork scheduled in Sanilac County

STARTING DATE:  Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011  
 
ESTIMATED COMPLETION DATE:  Mid-October 2011

PROJECT:  Resurfacing M-53 from Severance Road to the Huron County Line. Roadwork, which includes milling and resurfacing, will extend 9.1 miles through Sanilac County.

This project is  weather-dependent.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS: Single-lane closures with traffic maintained under flag control. Motorists can expect delays.

CUSTOMER BENEFIT: This $1.2 million project will increase motorist safety and provide a smoother ride for years to come.
