  • Senate Business Office - Application Development Manager
    Under the direction of the Director of the Senate Business Office and supervised by the Senate Information Services (SIS) Director, the Application Development Manager (ADM) is responsible for coordinating, planning, overseeing, upgrading, and supporting all activities related to application development at the Michigan Senate.
  • Senate Business Office - SIS Deputy Director
    Under the direction of the Director of the Senate Business Office and supervised by the Senate Information Services (SIS) Director, the SIS Deputy Director assists the SIS Director in the management of IT functions and systems operations as well as the delivery of IT services to Senators and staff, and other Senate groups and legislative agencies.
  • Senate Business Office - Network Administrator
    Under the direction of the Director of the Senate Business Office and the IT Services Manager and supervised by the Systems Engineer, the Network Administrator provides network infrastructure support, and performs all aspects of the configuration and maintenance of the Senate network and infrastructure systems.
  • Senate Business Office – IT Services Manager
    Under the direction of the Director of the Senate Business Office (SBO) and supervised by the Senate Information Services (SIS) Director, the IT Services Manager manages the Senate Information Services, Operations Department and strategizes with the SIS Director regarding the vision and planning of technology in the Michigan Senate by making recommendations for new technologies and methods to improve services and efficiencies.
  • Senate Business Office - Operations Technical Analyst
    Under the direction of the Director of the Senate Business Office, overseen by the Sergeant at Arms/Chief of Police (Chief of Police), and supervised by the Assistant. Sergeant at Arms/Lieutenant of Operations, the Operations Technical Analyst supports the Michigan Senate Police Department (MSPD) within the MSPD Operations Center by monitoring surveillance video and radio communications and, as necessary, dispatching MSPD officers in response to emergencies in the Michigan Senate Binsfeld Office Building, Michigan State Capitol Building, and other Senate properties.
  • Senator Cavanagh – Legislative Director
    Under the direction of the Senate Member and Chief of Staff, the Legislative Director develops and implements legislative initiatives on behalf of the Senate Member and monitors other legislative developments.
  • Senator Moss – Constituent Services and District Director
    Under the direction of the Senate Member and Chief of Staff, the Constituent Services and District Director will serve as the proxy for the Senator member in the district. The Constituent Services and District Director will be responsible for planning and ensuring the development, maintenance and execution of the Senate Member’s district outreach and constituent services.
  • Senator Moss – Scheduler & Administrative Assistant
    Under the direction of the Senate Member and Chief of Staff, the Scheduler and Administrative Assistant greets visitors, answers incoming phone calls, distributes mail, maintains office supplies, and oversees the scheduling and coordination of meetings and other events. The Scheduler and Administrative Assistant also writes correspondence, assists with special projects in the Lansing office and conducts constituent casework.
  • Senator Shink – Constituent Services Director
    Under the direction of the Member and Chief of Staff, the Constituent Relations Director manages constituent casework for the Member’s office, often serving as a liaison between constituents and state departments to resolve various issues for constituents. As necessary, the Constituent Relations Director drafts newsletters and other correspondence; holds office hours in the Member’s district; attends meetings; and answers incoming phone calls from constituents.
  • Senator Santana – Consituent Relations Assistant
    Under the direction of the Senate Member, the Constituent Relations Assistant manages constituent casework with the In-District Liaison for the Senate Member’s office, often serving as a liaison between constituents and state departments to resolve various issues for constituents. The Constituent Relations Assistant holds office hours in the Senate Member’s district office; attends meetings; and answers incoming phone calls from constituents. The Constituent Relations Assistant accommodates in-district events by providing assistance with setup and coordination of guest speakers and event activities.
  • Senator Santana – Executive Assistant
    Under the direction of the Senate Member and Chief of Staff, the Executive Assistant greets and assists all visitors to the Senate Member Office by providing polite and professional assistance via telephone, mail, e-mail, and in-person. The Executive Assistant provides support for various administrative functions and assists all staff members in the Senate Member Office with special projects as assigned.
  • Senator Theis – Constituent Services
    Under the direction of the Senate Member and the Chief of Staff, the Scheduler and Constituent Relations Assistant manages the calendar and constituent casework for the Senate Member’s office, often serving as a liaison between constituents and state departments to resolve various issues for constituents. As necessary, the Scheduler and Constituent Relations Assistant answers incoming phone calls from constituents and drafts constituent correspondence.
  • Majority Staff – Communications Specialist
    Under the direction of the Senate Majority Leader and supervised by the Majority Staff Deputy Director of Communications, the Communications Specialist is responsible for providing member offices with a full array of communications services including, but not limited to, writing press releases, photo advisories, media advisories, newsletters, weekly and monthly columns, speeches, social media posts, constituent communications, and other communication as requested; attending committee meetings related to member issues with a significant communications impact; and assisting in the creation, maintenance, and execution of a comprehensive communications plan as part of each Majority Member’s incumbency plan.
  • Majority Staff – Policy Analyst
    Under the direction of the Senate Majority Leader and supervised by the Majority Staff Policy Director, the Policy Analyst serves as the subject matter expert in the policy and budget fields assigned to the Policy Analyst by the Policy Director. The Policy Analyst identifies and develops public policy initiatives, analyzes legislation and appropriations from a Majority Caucus perspective, and assists Senate Majority Caucus Members in their constitutionally mandated role of overseeing state government.

  • Senate Business Office – Courier – Morning Shift
    Under the direction of the Director of the Senate Business Office, and supervised by the General Services Manager, the Courier provides a wide range of services including delivering and receiving documents, supplies and equipment, and assisting with general office duties.
