This funding helps to support the Michigan FFA State Office which oversees and directs the activities of more than 10,000 Michigan FFA members (7-12th grade students enrolled in agriscience education courses) across the state. Examples of these activities include numerous career and leadership development events, as well as the annual State FFA Convention, which recognizes students each spring for their many accomplishments. These activities are critical in the development of the talent pipeline that supports Michigan's agricultural, food, and natural resources industries. This funding has been critical in supporting the growth of Michigan FFA membership, which has doubled in the past 15 years.
